Produce

Ellis’ Harvest Home earned the distinction of “Largest Onion Producer” in Wyoming in 2013. Not that onions are our main crop, we just have a lot and they are BIG! We like to think our main crops are tomatoes, sweet corn, peppers (especially hot peppers), cucumbers and green beans. We also grow plenty of other fresh farm vegetables including: lettuce, spinach, chard and kale, rhubarb, cabbage, kohlrabi, carrots, red beets, summer and winter squash, eggplant and potatoes. In one corner of the garden we have a small herb garden where we grow oregano, thyme, basil, chives and mint and lemon balm. Cilantro and dill weed are grown in one of the tunnels and dill for pickling grows everywhere!

We start on-site Farmer’s Markets at the farm the first Friday in June, then every Friday until the end of September.  Markets are from 5-7p. We still have fresh farm produce after that, but we sell it on weekends along with the pumpkins during MAZE season.

In August when everything is growing and ready for harvest, we can supply you with enough farm produce for canning. We sell cucumbers for pickling, red beets by the 5 gallon bucketful, tomatoes in 30 pound boxes, sweet corn by the 10’s of dozens, jalapeno, green chili and bell peppers by the pounds, cabbage by the 8-12 pound heads. We have the fresh farm vegetables you need to make salsa or spaghetti sauce including the recipe! We also have green beans by the bucketful, but they go fast so email us your request and we’ll get you on our list and let you know when they are ready.
